What AI Header Mapping Does

AI Header Mapping helps suggest how uploaded file columns should map to BoviHR payroll fields. It can reduce setup time when file headers are unclear or different from the template.

AI suggestions must still be reviewed by a payroll user before import.

Practical Example

A spreadsheet has a column named Staff No.. AI may suggest mapping it to Employee ID. The payroll user should confirm the suggestion before importing.

Another column named Extra Pay may be suggested as an allowance. Payroll should verify whether it is actually a bonus, overtime amount, or reimbursement.

When To Use AI Mapping

Use AI mapping when:

• The file has many columns.
• Header names are different from BoviHR field names.
• A new import template is being created.
• Payroll wants a faster first draft of mappings.

Common Mistakes

• Accepting every AI suggestion without review.
• Mapping a deduction as an earning.
• Mapping names instead of employee IDs when IDs are required.
• Importing without previewing after AI mapping.
