Before you make your first payment, it is important to understand the elements of the Make Payment Screen. 

1. The "Show X Entries" element allows you to change how many employees are displayed when you search 

2. Search.   This is a SECONDARY search feature  and will not display data if the primary filters (right above this section) are not used to pull the data. This functionality helps in the event you have many employees  and need to search in a way that is not defined by the primary filters. For example, let's say you have 100 employees and you searched by location because you are not sure of John Smith's department.  You can type 'John Smith' into the search bar to display his payroll data. 

3. Payroll Items - Select this box to adjust the Gross Pay by entering the value for Payroll Items.  Additions and Deductions can be added. To learn more about Payroll Items, you can click here
