How the "Manage Template" Feature Works

Manage Templates:
You can add, edit, or delete templates in this section to manage how data is imported.

Create a New Template :

Step 1: Start by Creating a Template

  • Click on "Create New Template" to begin. You will be redirected to the template creation page.

Step 2: Add a Transformation Rule

  • You can add a transformation rule to modify the data according to your needs. For example, you may want to:

    • Extract the last 3 digits of an account number.

    • Convert all text to uppercase.

Step 3: Choose What to Transform

  • Select a field (e.g., employee_name, iban, etc.) and choose a transformation type (e.g., "Extract digits", "Pad with zeros", "Convert to uppercase").

Step 4: Adjust Transformation Settings

  • Depending on the type of transformation, you will have various settings to adjust:

    • Extracting digits: Choose how many digits to extract.

    • Padding numbers: Decide if the padding should be applied to the beginning or the end.

    • Text transformation: Choose whether to make the text uppercase, lowercase, or capitalized.

Step 5: Preview the Transformation

  • As you adjust the settings, you’ll see a live preview of how the transformation affects the data. For example, when converting text to uppercase, the preview will show the updated text in real-time.

Step 6: Edit or Remove Transformation Rules

  • You can add more transformation rules, edit existing ones, or remove any rules you no longer need.

Step 7: Extra future

  • You can choose the file type (e.g., CSV, text) and define the delimiter (e.g., comma, tab, semicolon) used in your file. This helps ensure the data is parsed correctly.

    • File Type: Select the format of your file (e.g., CSV, text ).

    • Delimiter: Choose the delimiter used in your file (e.g., comma, semicolon, tab) to ensure the data is split correctly into columns.

Example Workflow:

  1. Upload Your Data File: Start by uploading your file, and you'll see a list of fields (e.g., employee_name, bank_name).

  2. Choose Field and Transformation: Select a field (e.g., employee_name) and choose a transformation type (e.g., "Convert to uppercase").

  3. Adjust Settings: Set how you want the transformation to work (e.g., choose whether to capitalize or lowercase the text).

  4. Preview: Watch the changes happen in real time on the sample data.

  5. Refine: Continue adding, editing, or removing rules until you're happy with the final result.

In Short: This process allows you to customize and format your data exactly how you want it before importing it. You can transform fields, adjust settings, and preview the changes in real-time to ensure the data is tailored to your needs.

 Edit Template

Easily update your template by modifying the transformation rules, adjusting settings, and previewing the changes. You can:

  • Edit Existing Rules: Modify the transformation settings for any field.

  • Add New Rules: Apply additional transformations to other fields.

  • Remove Unwanted Rules: Delete any rules you no longer need.

All changes are immediately previewed, so you can see how your data will look before finalizing.
