What Async Payroll Processing Does
Async payroll processing lets BoviHR calculate payroll in the background for large employee groups. This helps prevent browser timeouts during Make Payment V2 or Draft Review V2.
Practical Example
A company has 650 employees. When payroll searches a full company period, BoviHR starts a background job. The screen shows progress until results are ready.
What Support Should Check
If async payroll appears stuck, check:
- Is the job still processing?
- How many employees were included?
- Did the user cancel the job?
- Are there calculation errors in logs?
- Did the company have missing setup data?
Common Issues
- Very broad filters include too many employees.
- Missing salary setup causes employee calculation failures.
- User closes the page before results are reviewed.
- Payroll job fails and needs error review.
Support Guidance
Ask the user:
- What period did you search?
- Which company and department?
- Did the progress indicator show a failure?
- Did the issue happen for one employee or all employees?
