Purpose
Use this checklist when creating, reviewing, or updating payroll help desk articles.
Required For Every Payroll Article
Each payroll article should include:
- Plain-language explanation
- When to use the feature
- Step-by-step workflow or setup
- At least one practical example
- Common mistakes
- Related articles
- Image notes tracked separately before images are added
Accuracy Checklist
Before publishing:
- Confirm the screen still exists.
- Confirm the UI labels match the article.
- Confirm role/module access if the feature may be hidden.
- Confirm whether the feature is customer-facing, superadmin-only, beta, or internal.
- Confirm examples match actual payroll behavior.
- Confirm screenshots are current.
Article Hygiene Checklist
Review the help desk for:
- Stub articles that should be rewritten.
- Unpublished articles that should be republished or removed from search.
- Test articles that should be deleted.
- Old legacy articles that should point to Make Payment V2.
- Broken links between related articles.
Practical Example
If the Make Payment article says "Coming Soon" but Make Payment V2 is live, rewrite the article, add V2 screenshots, and link old Make Payment articles to the new V2 guide.
